Cada segundo jueves de marzo se recuerda esta fecha con el objetivo de concientizar sobre la importancia de la salud renal y prevenir las enfermedades que pueden afectar los ri\u00f1ones. El Servicio de Nefrolog\u00eda del Hospital El Carmen brinda informaci\u00f3n al respecto.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cuando los ri\u00f1ones pierden gradualmente la capacidad de eliminar las toxinas generadas por el organismo hablamos de enfermedad renal cr\u00f3nica. 1 de cada 10 personas se ve afectada por esta patolog\u00eda a la que se define como \u201csilenciosa\u201d porque genera pocos o ning\u00fan s\u00edntoma durante mucho tiempo.<\/p>\n

La manifestaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s grave de la enfermedad renal es la insuficiencia renal cr\u00f3nica avanzada, que lleva al paciente a la necesidad de recurrir a terapia de sustituci\u00f3n renal, como son la di\u00e1lisis o el trasplante renal.<\/p>\n

La enfermedad renal cr\u00f3nica puede no manifestarse hasta que la funci\u00f3n renal se vea significativamente afectada. Es por ello es que los profesionales de OSEP resaltan la importancia de mantener h\u00e1bitos saludables para la prevenci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Las 8 reglas de oro para mantener los ri\u00f1ones sanos<\/p>\n

  1. Mantenerse en forma y activo<\/li>\n
  2. Llevar un control regular de los niveles de glucosa en sangre<\/li>\n
  3. Monitorear la presi\u00f3n arterial<\/li>\n
  4. Alimentarse sanamente y cuidar el peso<\/li>\n
  5. Beber agua<\/li>\n
  6. No fumar<\/li>\n
  7. No automedicarse<\/li>\n
  8. Revisar la funci\u00f3n renal si padece diabetes, presi\u00f3n arterial alta, obesidad o alg\u00fan familiar tiene enfermedad renal<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
